Great Indoor & Outdoor Memphis Wedding Venues

Whether you want an elaborate, elegant indoor wedding, a traditional ceremony, or something really unique, you don’t have to look further than our own little city of Memphis. Here’s a list of some of our favorite indoor and outdoor Memphis wedding venues.

Indoor Memphis Wedding Venues

Central Station

This is a beautiful local landmark with a lot of history. Once it was known as Grand Central Station, and now the Hudson Hall is a great space to hold a large, elegant wedding featuring a huge reception all or a more intimate lobby with a train arrival sign.

409 South Main

This is a gorgeous high-end location with all the elegant features of a classy modern venue. It also retains much of its historic charms with tall ceilings, expansive natural lighting, and rustic wood flooring. It’s perfect for both the ceremony and reception.

Stax Museum

The Stax Museum is a must-see for anyone in this town. Did you know you could also hold events here? This a really unique place to hold a wedding, full of rich history and incredible details, from its 105 year-old Mississippi Delta church to the restored 1972 Cadillac that belonged to Isaac Hayes.

Outdoor Memphis Wedding Venues

Lichterman Nature Center

This beautiful wooded gem offers several gorgeous locations to have the Memphis wedding of your dreams. The arboretum features a huge covered pavilion perfect for eating and dancing and vast open spaces.

Want to be in nature but also have a winter wedding? Their visitor’s center is also perfect for those colder winter months.

National Ornamental Metal Museum

Get married right on top of the bluff, overlooking the Mississippi and both its bridges. We love this location because it offers a unique space that’s just as perfect for a fancy celebration as it is for a more laidback wedding.

The Dixon

The Hughes Pavilion is an elegant and secluded space, perfect for ceremonies and receptions. The brick building has floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a complete view of the gardens. Have a smaller seated ceremony in the Pavilion, or open up onto the terrace for a party of up to 200. It does require a membership at the $1000 Sustainer level, on top of other rental fees.

Other Great Memphis Wedding Venues

Brooks Museum of Art

The Brooks Museum offers the perfect scenery whether you want an indoor or outdoor wedding. You can get married in the galleries, in the rotunda, or out on the patio. Other venues might feel a little empty if you’re having an intimate celebration, but the range of spaces at the Brooks mean it can accommodate a small group of 50 or a huge party of hundreds.

The Church of the River

The First Unitarian Church offers an unparalleled setting. Every seat faces the Mississippi River, providing a gorgeous backdrop to your entire wedding. Use the small patio outside for an intimate outdoor ceremony. In 2019, the church added access to The Mississippi Room as a reception area!

Memphis Botanic Gardens

If you’re imagining your day filled with gorgeous flowers, look no further than the Botanic Garden. Their speciality gardens seem endless, and each one can hold a different number of guests, meaning there is no limit to the kind of wedding you can have here.

But its emphasis on flowers doesn’t mean it’s only good for outdoor weddings; there are also many rooms buildings on the property that make the Botanic Gardens perfect for a gorgeous event any time of the year.
